In 1987, while working in traditional laboratory medicine, I imagined a healthcare system focused on
prevention and education. It was at that time I founded Impact Health. The result has been 30-plus
years of experience in the corporate wellness and biometric screening industry. As a perpetual
healthcare futurist, I envision a world where consumers have better access to quality and affordable
laboratory testing at their nearby local retail pharmacies. I decided to act on my vision by co-founding
eTrueNorth.
At eTrueNorth, we are re-imagining healthcare delivery by creating a network of CLIA-waived
laboratories in U.S. retail pharmacies. My goal is to empower local pharmacists to administer
preventative healthcare screenings, engage in medication management and close clinical gaps in care. I
believe that partnerships with retail pharmacies, self-funded employers, third-party payors and
pharmaceutical manufacturers can improve our collective ability to identify undiagnosed conditions and
better manage chronic diseases.
eTrueNorth’s goal is to fit healthcare into everyday life. By leveraging the accessibility of retail
pharmacies, we will expand the scope of services provided to consumers. The service will be more
effective, higher quality and will enhance the pharmacy’s value as a key participant in a multidisciplinary healthcare delivery model. With your assistance, I can achieve this goal not only in the U.S.
but also in countries around the world, meeting the specific healthcare needs of each region.
The tools created by eTrueNorth are used by Impact Health, a corporate wellness and biometric
screening company I started 30 years ago, and serve to continue a long history of quality service
delivery. My overall objective is to elevate point-of-care testing to the same status as traditional
laboratory medicine through quality assurance measures that result in end-to-end result traceability.
The intention is to combine the flexibility of point-of-care testing, the opportunity for immediate
dialogue with the patient/employee/consumer and results that will become part of a personal medical
record and not be relegated to “orphan data” status, which happens today to millions of point-of-care
test results.
