Did you know...

The artichoke is a significant source of vitamin C, folic acid and magnesium.

In 1948, a young Marilyn Monroe (then Norma Jean) was crowned Castroville’s
first honorary “Artichoke Queen.” Castroville is located on the central coast of
California and produces the majority of the US artichoke crop.
Full grown, an artichoke plant can spread nine feet in diameter and stand five
feet tall, and one plant can produce over 20 artichokes a year.

I currently work as part of the purchasing team, bringing in new products,
supporting vendors and communicating with the seven Mother’s stores.
What is your favorite thing about working at Mother’s?
The sense of family and learning something new every day. I also love
that I help provide customers with great healthy options!
What are your favorite products?
Definitely Kombucha is one of my favorites
but I can’t leave the store without Mother’s
homemade guacamole and kale salad from
the deli!
What’s new with you?
I’m a Mother! In summer of 2016, Minetta
was born and she is my sunshine.

Cabo Chips was launched in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in 2004
with the introduction of our Original Soy Sauce & Lime chips.
In 2005, co-founder Christian Bunte took the helm of the
company after graduating from the undergraduate business
program at USC and moved its operations north to Laguna
Hills, CA so he could more easily share the product with his
favorite local retailers, such as Mother’s Market.
Cabo Chips produced in a unique way - all of our chips
are cut from whole tortillas that are made in house in our
factory, rather than cut out of a sheet on a conveyor belt like
many of our competitors. This gives our chips the authentic
crunch that you are familiar with from your favorite Mexican
restaurants. Cabo Chips also uses only 100% real ingredients
in our products – ingredients such as gluten free soy sauce,
dried mango, and jalapeño peppers - no flavorings, no
maltodextrine, and no other fillers of any kind.
Over the years we have developed additional flavors and we
are now in the process of rolling out our new line of partiallycooked hand-made tortillas so that we can bring the taste of
our fresh cooked tortillas to your house.
